Playbook: students and teachers
Learning and teaching workflows that use AI as a tutor/explainer—without bypassing academic integrity or replacing assessment design care.
What it is
Learning and teaching workflows that use AI as a tutor/explainer—without bypassing academic integrity or replacing assessment design care.
Why it matters
Schools are rewriting norms now. Clear playbooks beat panic bans and silent cheating alike.
How it works (plain)
Students may: explain concepts, quiz themselves, outline (if allowed), debug understanding. Students must not: submit prohibited AI work as their own; fabricate citations. Teachers may: generate practice items, rubrics drafts, differentiation ideas—then review. Always: follow the syllabus / school policy (Course 29 academic integrity).
Try it
Write your course’s AI rule in one sentence. If it doesn’t exist, draft a fair one and ask the instructor.
Myths
- ⚠️ Myth: Detectors make policy unnecessary.
- ✓ Reality: Process and honesty still lead.
